See All ReviewsThe frys are wayyyy to salty. The Brussel sprouts are basically raw with a small amount of what they call aioli. I had a burger and added cheese, there was the tiniest sliver of cheddar you could barely see it and I couldn't taste it at all. Don't add cheese, so not worth it. The atmosphere was empty and dull, spots for candles, but none of them turned on. Server was nice, but kept having system issues. Overall, I would rather get red robin.
My family and I visited for a quick trip. It was an amazing experience. There was a mini golf course on the property that my husband loved. The wood work in the pool area was beautiful. The great room had an elite lodge feel, with a beautiful fireplace, nice seating areas, a piano, and a puzzle table. There was even a family game room my daughter loved. While everything about the establishment was fantastic, the best part of the stay was hands down the dining. The flavor combinations were to die for. It was a fine dining experience, complete with a friendly wait staff happy to share their knowledge about local attractions. My family looks forward to returning to this diamond in the rough for our next quick getaway.
Came for the Mother's Day Buffet. Very disappointed. The hot foods weren't hot at all. The chafing dishes had no steamer trays underneath, so food just sat in a large dry metal pan with one flame in the center. That set-up dried everything out and left it leather like, chewy, and difficult to cut. The breakfast potatoes were right out of freezer. Sausage shriveled and tasteless. The other options consisted of fresh fruit, toast, pastries, salads at room temperature, and open face sandwiches. For $30 a plate I expected nice and special. There was no wow factor or attempt at creating or serving something special. If they could have keep the food fresher that would have helped a great deal. Lastly there was nothing honoring the Mom's out there. No little flower or small chocolate takeaway to greet the Moms with like other places I've been. I think that a piece cake was brought to a table where there was a young mother with her baby. But none was offered or brought to ours. No one asked if we too were celebrating mothers. Honestly, McD does a much better job.
